PORT CARLING–Beginner Indigenous Dance Steps

July 23 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Exercise–an important segment of health on our Medicine Wheels of life that often is ignored or overlooked.

Whether you are wanting to learn some basic steps for a future powwow, learn more about your individual culture, or just improve your basic health and balance—we are offering beginner friendly dance steps. Don’t expect to become expert dancers–this is an age friendly and ability focused activity. Health and balance are important while interconnecting culture.

Through the next year we will be exploring various dance steps from the Anishinaabe, Tlingit, and Metis.
