National Ribbon Skirt Day
January 4

National Ribbon Skirt Day originated in Saskatchewan in 2020 when a First Nations girl was denied wearing her ribbon skirt at school. The Ribbon Skirt was created by First Nations and Metis and it is common to see women wearing them today.
Although this is a national day set aside to recognize and wear Ribbon Skirts with pride–you can wear them any day.
