SUMMARY:Gravenhurst--Orange Ribbon Quilt
DESCRIPTION:In 2021 over 6\,000 orange ribbons were tied at the Silver Bridge in Bracebridge. After they were taken down it was determined that these ribbons would be used in an ongoing teaching tool. A Community Quilt. However\, it takes time and a lot of sewers\, experienced or not\, to come together and work on quilt blocks. \nWill you join us as we blitz work on the quilt in September?

This activity is to introduce members reconnecting to their culture a safe place to ask questions\, learn more about the sacred medicines\, and protocol on approaching Elders with tobacco ties. \nLater this month\, having a tobacco tie available for any TRC Day events\, you will be glad you made one. \nProgramming for this event is provided by The District Municipality of Muskoka through the Community Enhancement Fund\, and the Ryde Community Centre.
